Alexis L. Carroll
Queen of Dialogue
Alexis started her adventurous life when she moved from her home state of Nevada to Hawaii, where she studied hairstyling. She would often be found furiously writing in her notebook on the public transit, never sharing her writings with anyone else. In Hawaii she met her partner, Allen, and after many beach sunsets together, they decided to start a family. They took their growing family to the wondrous Pacific Northwest. That was when Alexis dared to ask, “What if I did share my stories with others?” Surrounded by a family of creatives growing up, she knew that if she put her mind to it, she could turn her notebook into a novel. And now here we are, reading about her in the back of a book after reading ‘the end’.
Outside of hairstyling and writing, Alexis enjoys going to concerts and comic cons, eating really good food, and family time. She has two doppelgangers, hellhounds, and a couple of man-eating plants.
Alexis loves to delve into the what-ifs of monsters and forbidden pets, interpersonal dramatics and self-reliance, and secret worlds of the paranormal in her dark fantasy and horror themes. She is the co-author of Things Magical Under The Moon, a collection of grim tales, and When Her World Went Away, an apocalyptic horror novel.
